Reunion Pizza in the Park (TEENS EVENT)

“It was great to see people again and the pizza was amazing.”

What a great way to be reunited with friends – football, games and pizza! We met at one of the most accessibility friendly parks in London; The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where we set up at a beautiful picnic spot on Alfred’s Meadow close to the Timber Lodge for all necessary facilities.

This was a relaxed event where teens could catch up with friends they've made through Teens Unite and meet new faces too. Alfred’s Meadow was the perfect spot for kicking a football around, playing a friendly competitive game of Boules and getting to know other young people in a similar situation. Everyone was then able to enjoy their pizza, and have a chat.

Joe, one of our amazing volunteers took centre stage as he taught us all a game of ‘splat’ which made us all laugh and helped us to get to know eachother a little better. John remains to be the unbeaten champion so we shall see what happens at the next Teens Day! We are loving being back to face-to-face events and cannot wait for the next. Check out what's coming up here

By coming along to this event, teens were able to:
•    Interact and socialise with others who get what they're going through
•    Reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness
•    Improve self-confidence and self-esteem
