How We Support

Home How We Support

You're more than your diagnosis. You're still you.

Cancer shouldn't hold you back or define who you are and what you can do. By joining our activities and short breaks, you'll be able to:

• Make new friends with others your age who get what you're going through
• Learn new skills
• Challenge yourself in a safe and supportive space
• Improve your confidence and wellbeing
• Do more of what you love and try new things too

We'll help you to rebuild your life or at the very least, live with your diagnosis in the best possible way.

It's quick and easy to sign up and you can then start joining our activities as soon as you feel ready, for however long you need our support.

Here's some further information on the different types of support we offer:

Short Breaks

If you’re aged 18 or over, you won’t want to miss our annual short breaks!

In addition to the regular activities we run, we bring around 20 young people together each summer for an unforgettable stay away from home. It's one of the highlights of our year!

You’ll get to take part in different activities each day and on the last night you’ll celebrate your time together with a formal dinner. The activities are varied to suit everyones interests and abilities and you’ll leave having made so many memories, as well as new friends. You’ll then have the opportunity to join our reunion break in the Spring, which brings you back together with the friends you’ve made.

Take a look at what we get up to!

Discover You

Our Discover You event is for you and your family. It's about achieving your aspirations in life, whether they are personal or professional goals. You'll hear from inspirational speakers throughout the day, who will inspire you with their own life stories and the hurdles they've had to overcome.

Online Learning

We help to build your self-confidence, help you feel motivated, and improve your self-esteem. We want you to know that your chances of success haven't been impacted by the time you've had to take out of education or work.

To support you, we have partnered with the team at New Skills Academy, an online education provider, who are offering access to any of their courses to Teens, free of charge. Whether you are looking for something academic, thinking about your first job, or wanting to do something positive while you think about longer term options, there'll be something for you.

Take a look, here, and then if you find something you're interested in, give us a call on 01992 440091, and we will talk you through the next steps.
