Mindfulness and Breathing (TEENS EVENT)

Digital Session

For this weeks digital activity, we hosted a  mindfulness and breathing workshop.

A group of young people joined us on this sunday morning as we learnt new breathing techniques together. We practised the 4 - 7 -8 method together which is an excellent tool for when you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed or anxious.

We then embarked on a journey of meditation together. Following a professional instructor, we practised meditative techniques to relax our bodies and minds, ahead of the beginning of a new week.

Everyone left the session with a free 6 month subscription to Breethe, an app which guides you through meditation and breathing techniques. 

By attending this event, everyone was able to : 

  • Access our support from wherever they are
  • Learn new techniques and coping strategies to deal with anxiety and stress
  • Relax, and take time for themselves
  • Meet other young people in a similar situation
  • Reduce feelings of stress and anxiety
