Dr Anisha is a GP working in Horsham, West Sussex, as a partner, lead for women’s health and speciality in General Medicine and Respiratory Medicine. In September 2018, Anisha was unexpectedly diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer. Her ambition is to use her unique perspective and experience as both a doctor and a patient to raise awareness of cancer and it effects. Using her social media presence, via @doctorsgetcancertoo, she is working to increase the voice of those living with and beyond cancer, especially at a young age, as well as health promotion and education. She is an active campaigner for Bowel Cancer awareness and regularly appears as a medical expert on ITV's Lorraine. Through her role as Beneficiary Lead on our board of trustees, she will help to guide our service provision, ensuring every young person feels supported and empowered after diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
