The Halsey Masonic Centre hosted a Beer & Gin Festival raising money for two local charities. Mind Over Cancer and us – both supporting young people to overcome the challenges that cancer brings.
The event looked fantastic – the weather was kind and the visitors enjoyed not only a great range of craft beers and gins, but the sleight of hand of magician, Mystic Mark, and very obviously each other’s company.
Like the young people supported by Teens Unite, this group of generous individuals are part of a very special community united in a common cause with shared goals. The work they do to support Charity does not go unappreciated.
We would like to thank Halsey Masonic Centre for thinking of us. The funds they raised will mean we can invite ten young people to join us for one of our digital activities – digital activities ensure that Teens Unite’s programme remains as accessible as possible, ensuring that young people, no matter where they are geographically or on their cancer journey are able to join us to learn something new, do something positive and connect with other young people who understand the challenges they face. The connections they create and the friendships they make last way beyond the activity itself.
To the Halsey Masonic Centre, thank you for helping us to support more of the seven young people who, every day in the UK, hear the words you have cancer.

Detailed below are our events for Teens, Volunteers, Fundraising and Challenges.
Volunteering with Teens Unite has changed my personality and outlook on life. When I hear all the amazing things the teens say about Teens Unite, I can tell they mean every word.
Teens Unite isn't just a charity to me, it was the beginning of restarting my life.
When Elliot started receiving the support of Teens Unite, I could see a change in him straightaway. His outlook on life was becoming positive again and I gained strength from seeing my little boy accepting what had happened and starting to move forward.
I needed help and that's where Teens Unite came in. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and the reason I met Teens Unite was to save my life.
With Teens Unite, I finally realised that I could climb out of this massive hole that I had been digging because I wasn't alone anymore.
If it wasn't for Teens Unite, I wouldn't be where I am now. They have been really supportive and given me the strength to push myself and not give up.
