Nine days, a 6,000-meter climb, five climatic zones, and the physiological changes that the body experiences above 2,500 meters, that’s what is facing Jamie, as he climbs Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Teens Unite.
Jamie is the Director at the multi award-winning Future Group, who we are delighted to introduce as our latest Corporate Partner
After deciding on the challenge, Jamie thought about doing the climb for Charity. Teens Unite were on Loughton High Street, as part of our awareness raising campaign, and Jamie stopped to talk to one of our volunteers. Knowing a little of what we did and knowing that we were local to him and his team, we were very fortunate that Jamie decided to do the climb for us. Now, knowing more about our work, and feeling a real affinity for what we do, Jamie has roped in the whole team at Future Group, and we are delighted that they’ll be partnering with us for the next two years, continuing to raise funds and awareness.
So, as Jamie takes on the climb of his life, facing bushlands, rainforests, heather and moorland, an alpine desert and the ferocious cold and artic conditions at the summit, he’s taken delivery of blister plasters and he is in training to deal with the effects of the altitude, we ask you, please, to get behind him, and offer him your support. He set himself a target of £1,000 which his incredible supporters smashed within less than a week, so now he has set his sights on £2,000, all of which will help us to support young people fighting cancer to live their best life, while others search for a cure.

Detailed below are our events for Teens, Volunteers, Fundraising and Challenges.
Volunteering with Teens Unite has changed my personality and outlook on life. When I hear all the amazing things the teens say about Teens Unite, I can tell they mean every word.
Teens Unite isn't just a charity to me, it was the beginning of restarting my life.
When Elliot started receiving the support of Teens Unite, I could see a change in him straightaway. His outlook on life was becoming positive again and I gained strength from seeing my little boy accepting what had happened and starting to move forward.
I needed help and that's where Teens Unite came in. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and the reason I met Teens Unite was to save my life.
With Teens Unite, I finally realised that I could climb out of this massive hole that I had been digging because I wasn't alone anymore.
If it wasn't for Teens Unite, I wouldn't be where I am now. They have been really supportive and given me the strength to push myself and not give up.
