Teens Unite have received a grant from Hertfordshire Freemasons, for an incredible £59,000, helping us to provide support to hundreds of young people living with cancer and the lasting effects.
The funding from Hertfordshire Freemasons will cover the role of the Charity’s Beneficiary Engagement Specialist for two years. This role not only organises and delivers the activities we run, but welcomes young people to Teens Unite; identifying their needs and interests, whilst also building relationships with social workers and hospital teams, to ensure young people are receiving the support they need at different stages of their cancer.
In the last year, we have provided 142 activities for young people: an average of 2-3 each week. We are currently experiencing an annual 10 per cent increase in registrations, and the funding from Hertfordshire Freemasons will help to effectively manage this growth.
Roxanne Lawrance, Chief Executive from Teen’s Unite, said: “We’re very grateful to Hertfordshire Freemasons for their generous grant, which will be a massive help to us in supporting young people fighting cancer. We’ll be with them every step of the way, helping them to live a life outside of cancer.”

Detailed below are our events for Teens, Volunteers, Fundraising and Challenges.
Volunteering with Teens Unite has changed my personality and outlook on life. When I hear all the amazing things the teens say about Teens Unite, I can tell they mean every word.
Teens Unite isn't just a charity to me, it was the beginning of restarting my life.
When Elliot started receiving the support of Teens Unite, I could see a change in him straightaway. His outlook on life was becoming positive again and I gained strength from seeing my little boy accepting what had happened and starting to move forward.
I needed help and that's where Teens Unite came in. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and the reason I met Teens Unite was to save my life.
With Teens Unite, I finally realised that I could climb out of this massive hole that I had been digging because I wasn't alone anymore.
If it wasn't for Teens Unite, I wouldn't be where I am now. They have been really supportive and given me the strength to push myself and not give up.
