Sofology Supports Us Through the Pandemic

As we battle to overcome a 80% loss of income due to COVID-19, charity partnerships are a vital source of funding and awareness as we battle through the pandemic. Sofa retailer, Sofology, continues to support us during such a difficult time, having raised an incredible £7,746 since our partnership began in October 2019.

Sofology has been supporting Teens Unite in 11 of its stores in the South of England, where customers are given the opportunity to add a donation to Teens Unite, when making a purchase with their debit or credit card.

Sofology’s continued dedication and commitment comes at a time when we are experiencing a rise in demand for the support we provide, yet a significant loss of income. During lockdown we saw an increase of 66% of young people registering to receive our support, compared to the same time last year.

Although COVID-19 has sadly brought our usual face to face workshops and activities to a halt, we have increased our service provision from four physical meet ups a month, to four digital sessions a week.

The support we are receiving from charity partnerships, is helping us to continue running these sessions, so that young people fighting cancer can remain united, learn new skills and meet others in a similar situation at a time when feelings of isolation, anxiety and uncertainty are felt more than ever before.

We would like to thank Sofology for their continued support and we look forward to expanding the fundraising initiative in 2021.
