Seven Miles, for Seven weeks for Seven young people

Students at the Herts Regional College have worked throughout the year to raise awareness of us and the work that we do as well as hosting fundraising events.

At the beginning of this academic year, we went to meet some of the level one students to introduce them to Teens Unite.

This week we heard from student, Martin, who has decided to do some independent fundraising for us.  Martin lives near the Lea Valley park, and is keen to keep himself fit and active, so has been cycling 7 miles a week and will continue for 7 weeks.  He will finish his challenge on 19th November.

Martin has shared his sponsor form with his local Church and people in his local community, and already raised over half of his target.  He told us that it is his Birthday at the end of this week, and instead of gifts for himself, he has asked for his friends and family to sponsor his cycle challenge.

We are truly inspired by the actions of this kind-hearted young man who is cycling to support the seven young people aged 13-24, who every day in the UK receive a cancer diagnosis.  If you would like to show your support for Martin, you can make a donation here, on our webpage, please let us know it’s in support of Martin.

Martin, we thank you for this selfless act, and wish you both the best of luck with your challenge and the happiest of Happy Birthdays.
