It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Research shows that singing is good for you - endorphins are released which bring on feelings of elation, alleviating anxiety and stress.  That's certainly true of last Thursday's event hosted by the Broxbourne Community Choir.

This was a truly uplifting start to the Christmas celebrations as we joined the Choir, their friends and families for a roof raising evening event.  We were treated to the choir's renditions of some very jolly Christmas songs and joined in with some really heart warming traditional carols.  The voices of this amazing group of local people were incredible - a smaller group singing "when a child is born" genuinely bought a tear to the eye.

Teens Unite were invited to receive the retiring collection, and we were delighted to attend.  The generosity of the Choir and their familes and friends was also heart warming as we collected an incredible £476.34.  This will make a big difference to us, and will ensure that, as well as the Teens who come along to our workshops are supported, those that are in-patients at the hopsital wards and too unwell to attend can benefit from the workshops as we take the workshops out to them.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event, and gave so generously.  From all at Teens Unite, we wish you a peaceful Christmas filled with love, and a Happy New Year filled with health and happiness.
