It's been a busy half-term at Teens Unite's 'The Jailbreak Cafe'! It's always an exciting place for families to visit; it's not very often that you can explore a former police station and hide out in a cell, whilst enjoying some coffee and cake, but it's been extra special during the last couple of weeks.
This half-term we had four special visits from local PCSO's Deb and Shane, who kindly volunteered their time to run finger printing sessions throughout the holidays. It was a sell out event, with over 180 children attending.
Each child had the opportunity to learn about fingerprints and how they are used by the police, before creating their own set with the PCSO's. They were then able to venture around the cells with their scavenger hunt, looking high and low for the answers to the clues.
This was a ticketed event, with all of the proceeds donated to Teens Unite to help us support more young people fighting cancer and the lasting effects.
We would like to say a big thank you to all of the families who generously supported the event, and our wonderful PCSO's Deb and Shane who helped to make it happen.

Detailed below are our events for Teens, Volunteers, Fundraising and Challenges.
Volunteering with Teens Unite has changed my personality and outlook on life. When I hear all the amazing things the teens say about Teens Unite, I can tell they mean every word.
Teens Unite isn't just a charity to me, it was the beginning of restarting my life.
When Elliot started receiving the support of Teens Unite, I could see a change in him straightaway. His outlook on life was becoming positive again and I gained strength from seeing my little boy accepting what had happened and starting to move forward.
I needed help and that's where Teens Unite came in. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and the reason I met Teens Unite was to save my life.
With Teens Unite, I finally realised that I could climb out of this massive hole that I had been digging because I wasn't alone anymore.
If it wasn't for Teens Unite, I wouldn't be where I am now. They have been really supportive and given me the strength to push myself and not give up.
