Teens Unite is a charity local to where I live and friends and family have suffered from cancer, so I knew dedicating my time to the cause would have real purpose.
Since becoming a volunteer, I’ve helped in so many different ways, which keeps it new and exciting. From lending a hand at workshops for the young people to bucket collecting, the opportunities are endless.
Seeing the teens at the different events I have been to makes it all worthwhile. I enjoy knowing that being supported by Teens Unite is helping them get through the days, weeks and months ahead.
Volunteering with Teens Unite has given me a new outlook on life; it has shown me how great it feels to know I’ve made a difference to someone’s life.
I’ve seen the difference even the smallest amount of time spent volunteering can make to Teens Unite; it’s always appreciated and I feel part of the team every time I see them. I would encourage others to get involved and experience the rewards.
