Taj Mahal Cycling Challenge: Day Nine

After an incredible week-long adventure, the Taj Mahal Cycling Team have made it to their final destination - the Taj Mahal.

Today began with a drive towards Agra, visiting the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by the Emperor Akbar in 1569, on the way. The city is remarkably well-preserved, and the team were able to see the Jama Masjid and the tomb of Salim Chisti.

When they arrived in Agra, the team visited Agra Fort, before heading to the Taj Mahal in time for sunset; which was truly breathtaking. Listed as one of the new seven wonders of the world, their visit to the Taj Mahal was the perfect way to end the challenge of a lifetime.

They've pedalled over 400km, given back to local communities, fully immersed themselves into the culture of India and finally ticked off seeing one of the seven wonders of the world. This trip has been jam-packed and the team are exhausted, but what a truly special experience they've had - we think it could be our best challenge yet!

We've certainly been looking through the pictures and hearing about this year's trip wishing we were there... have you? In September 2020, we're visiting another wonder of the world; the Great Wall of China. Be a part of our team: register your interest today!
