Meet Our First Four 2019 Strictly Dancing Ball Dancers

With just one month to go until our Strictly Dancing Ball, we wanted to introduce you to four of the fourteen incredible individuals who will be taking to the dance floor at Chigwell Marquee on 22nd June!

Last year, we held this spectacular ball for the first time - and what a night it was! We were so thrilled that the event raised in excess of £80,000, and we're excited to make this year even bigger and better. The dancers have been working hard since February to perfect their routines; we can't wait to be blown away by their performances on the night.

So, without further ado, we introduce to you the first four Teens Unite Strictly Dancing Ball Dancers!

Andrew Shaw

Profession: Butcher, Shaw's Butcher

Dance Partner: Jo Banham

Dance: Samba

"I've always wanted to dance and when this opportunity came up, I jumped at it. I love to entertain and make people happy. I feel extremely pleased to be raising money for Teens Unite, it's a fantastic charity to support. I turn 50 this year, so what an amazing way to start the celebrations."

Christine Hammond

Profession: Beauty Therapist

Dance Partner: Steve Paine

Dance: Cha Cha Cha

"This experience has been life-changing and so enjoyable. It's taken me back to my childhood; carefree and fun, whilst raising awareness and funds for this amazing charity. This is a cause close to my heart after losing my brother Peter to cancer last year."

Danae Gooch

Profession: Freelance Beautician

Dance Partner: Chris Bond

Dance: Samba

"After being a guest at last year's ball, I had nothing but the upmost respect for last year's contestants. What they achieved and the funds and awareness they raised for this amazing charity made my decision straight away."

Darren Crowe

Profession: Horse Trainer

Dance Partner: Nicole Wimble

Dance: Jive

"When it comes to dancing I'm a complete novice! I'm absolutely loving the training, although it's much more difficult than I ever imagined. Having had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma myself, it's very close to home and means so much to do something that can help those supported by Teens Unite."
