Peter Lowman, Co-Founder and Director of LoveWorkLife will be taking on an epic challenge at the age of 71. On 15th October, he will be participating in the Louisville, Kentucky Ironman challenge.
Peter has been competing in triathlons for around nine years, mainly sprint and Olympic distance. He has been contemplating taking on an Ironman challenge for a while now and what better time than at the tender age of 71?
To put things into perspective, the Olympic distance is one quarter of an Ironman, so this really is a huge challenge for Peter. He will be swimming, cycling and running a staggering distance of 226,270 metres and that’s not all…for every metre, Peter is hoping to raise 10p for Teens Unite and another charity close to his heart, Walsingham Support.
When we asked Peter why he wanted to support Teens Unite as part of his challenge, he said: “The work you do is such an inspiration. I see the commitment you give to the people you support, going above and beyond to provide this on a personal level. I hope I can inspire others to realise that we are capable of much more than we think we are.”
As part of his fundraising, Peter is drawing upon his professional skills and expertise by offering consultancy services in exchange for corporate donations.
LoveWorkLife specialises in supporting organisations, large and small, to significantly improve performance. They work with Business Owners and Boards of Directors to develop an inspiring vision for the business and a plan to make it happen.
With this in mind, we thought this was a fantastic opportunity for local businesses in Hertfordshire to get to know Peter and find out more about the consultancy on offer.
