Christmas Ball (TEENS EVENT)

Double Tree Hilton, Tower Bridge

On Sunday 9th December, we held our first ever Teens Ball at the DoubleTree Hilton Tower Bridge - and what a night it was!

We kicked off the evening with a drinks reception. There were smiles all round and lots of laughter as we reunited with almost 100 young people supported by Teens Unite. Many of the young people had met before so it was great to catch up with familiar faces from Teens Unite workshops over the past few years. It was such a pleasure to welcome some new faces to this event too and as always, they were welcomed with open arms by the staff, volunteers and other young people that shared this special event with them.

Our CEO and Co-Founder Debbie then delivered her welcome speech, in which she recalled some of the incredible memories we've made at Teens Unite in 2018. We also enjoyed reminiscing on some of these memories with our 2018 Summer Activity Stay video, with many of the young people in the room being left eager to sign up for our 2019 stay!

It wouldn't be a Christmas Ball without a festive game, so the whole room took part in a round of 'Antlers on, Antlers off.' Congratulations to our lucky winner Freya, who took away two tickets to The View From The Shard!

We then got to induldge in a three-course festive meal with a salmon or butternut squash starter, a traditional Christmas dinner for our main course and Christmas pudding for dessert. Once we'd finished, it was time to get on our dancing shoes!

Keeping the dancefloor moving was our DJ, Jonathan from Source Music. He treated us to a huge selection of classic hits that kept us all singing and dancing until the end of the night.

When the Ball came to an end, we didn't want to leave! It was such an unforgettable evening and a fantastic way to round off 2018, taking away lots of new friendships and long-lasting memories.
