Strictly Dancing Ball (EVENT)

Grosvenor House, London

Our Strictly Dancing Ball was back with a bang!

Following a delay of two years due to the pandemic, the big night was certainly worth the wait and the best possible start to kicking off our fundraising calendar once again.

In the months leading up to the event, 13 novice dancers had been training alongside professionals from the Wright Rhythm School of Dance to perfect a routine to perform at the Strictly Dancing Ball. And wow, what a show they put on in a bid to be crowned this years champions!

Taking part in the event is no easy task and we have been overwhelmed by the commitment and dedication this years dancers have shown. Not only did they put in endless hours of training, they went above and beyond to smash their fundraising target. Together, they raised an incredible £42,239!

Over 550 guests attended the glamorous event held at one of London's most iconic venues - Grosvenor House, Park Lane. The pressure was on for our dancers to not only perform to our biggest audience to date, but also our panel of judges: Joanne Banham (Professional Dancer), Paul Tame (Professional Dancer), Laila Rouass (Actress), Dean Gaffney (Actor) and Alex Kingston (Actress).

After all 13 show stopping performances, it was time to announce the worthy winners, who were as follows:

Male Strictly Dancing Ball Champion - John McCarthy

Female Strictly Dancing Ball Champion - Nicola McGuffie

Audience Choice Winner - Annalisa Martorana

Congratulations to our worthy winners and all of our dancers; Aran, Jan, Jenna-Louise, Paula, Paris, Siobhan, Nikki, Edward, Jules and Michael - you were all amazing!

The kindness and generosity of our guests on the evening, meant the event raised an incredible £116,000 profit for Teens Unite.

This will help to fund the activities and stays we organise for young people fighting cancer; which help them to rebuild their lives and live with their diagnosis in the best possible way.

We would like to say a big thank you to this years incredible sponsors: PDC Law (Headline Sponsors), Aitch Group, Avanza, UHY Hacker Young, Hardsoft Computers.

The evening wouldn't have been possible without our wonderful volunteers, our supporters who gifted silent auction and raffle items, our host Chris, each and every guest, our judging panel and of course, our unforgettable dancers.

The event will return next year on 17th June 2023, tickets are on sale now

You can watch the highlights from the evening here.
