Bounce Ping Pong for Over 18's (Half Term) (TEENS EVENT)

Bounce, London

“I was a bit nervous at first, but I was soon playing Ping Pong with new people and friends I hadn't seen for a long time, which was really fun. I then felt more confident."

On Thursday 28th October, we met with ten young adults (18yrs+) at the home of social Ping Pong – Bounce, London. The venue was perfect for socialising with new people and catch up with friends made through Teens Unite. It didn’t matter if you were a beginner or a pro; the whole group encouraged and supported each other. We even attempted some advanced team work by trying play a rotating game, but the ping pong ended up in the nachos!

We all put down our bats and balls as we enjoyed pizza together, which gave us a chance to get to know one another a little better.

Feedback from the young people who attended the event shows that 100% felt more connected, 100% felt an increase in their self-esteem and 100% would recommend our activities to another young person.

By coming along to this event, everyone was able to:
•    Interact and socialise with others who get what they're going through
•    Reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness
•    Feel a sense of achievement, improving self-confidence and self-esteem
•    Enjoy a new experience with the friends they’ve made

Putting your safety first:

- Young people are encouraged to wear a mask if it feels more comfortable to do so
